- Anime list data — Entries you add to your watch list, scores, and progress.
- Quiz and tool inputs — Answers you provide in personality quizzes and other interactive tools. These are used to generate results and are not sold.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the site. This is used solely for improving the product.
- Cookies and local storage — We use cookies for session authentication and user preferences (e.g., theme, language). No third-party advertising cookies are used.
- Browser information — Anonymized browser type and device info for performance monitoring.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide and maintain Loreplex services
- Power your anime list, recommendations, and history
- Generate quiz and personality results
- Send important service notifications (no unsolicited marketing)
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We only share your data in these limited circumstances:

4. Third-Party Services
Loreplex fetches anime data from:
- AniList API — Public anime metadata. No personal data is shared with AniList.
- Jikan (MyAnimeList API) — Episode and relation data. No personal data is shared.
- OpenAI API — Used to generate filler guide insights and personality results. Only anonymized content (anime titles, general preferences) is sent. No names or personal identifiers are included.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction — Request corrections to inaccurate data.
- Deletion — Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Portability — Request your anime list exported in a standard format.
- Objection — Object to certain types of processing.

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and regular security reviews. However, no system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Loreplex is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover we have done so, we will delete it promptly.
